Biography
Jiannan Zhang focuses his practice on corporate, securities, finance, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and international transactions. He has extensive experience in advising businesses in different industries on various legal issues, including formation of entities, structuring of ownership, public offerings and private placements, corporate governance, strategic alliances, and business combinations.
Jiannan has assisted many Asian companies, including Chinese companies, doing business in the United States. He has advised them on raising capital in the U.S. through public offerings and private placements and acquiring U.S. assets and technologies through licensing and mergers and acquisitions.
He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences in the U.S. and China. He has contributed to publications such as Texas International Law Quarterly and Private Equity International, and he co-authored a chapter on China Telecom for Guide to Telecommunications in Asia.
