YK Law LLP announced today the addition of Scott H. Kaliko as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice group. Mr. Kaliko will be based in New York. Mr. Kaliko is joining YK Law following eighteen years at his own firm, Kaliko & Associates, LLC and prior positions at JP Morgan Chase & Co., Fish & Neave, LLP (Now Ropes & Gray, LLP) and McCarter & English, LLP.
Mr. Kaliko’s practice primarily focuses on advising clients in complex intellectual property matters. His work encompasses IP transactions, patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret prosecution, and IP litigation. He has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies such as Bayer Pharmaceutical, Honeywell, Siemens, Smiths Industries (Now GE Aviation), TV Guide (Gemstar), Johnson & Johnson, Time Warner Entertainment Company, and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Mr. Kaliko is also a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS) and a subject matter expert in the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering compliance for banks, broker dealers and investment advisers where he provided counsel to Bain Capital, First Southwest Broker Dealer, Banamex (subsidiary of Citibank), LPL Financial, and Aladdin Capital.
Kaliko is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey, admitted in various Fderal Courts, and a registered patent attorney before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
